Peach Pie Day

It's August 24th and that means its National Peach Pie Day. So today you have an excuse to bake yourself a crusty peach pie right. My mother was forever baking pies when I was growing up but every time she gathered a basket of peaches from our peach trees, she always made a peach cobbler instead of a peach pie. Her second choice was always fried peach pies. But I guess anyway you can get a sweet dessert made with peaches is fantastic. I hope everyone enjoys National Peach Pie Day by baking a pie.
