International Left Handers Day!

It's August 13th and that means it's International Left Handers Day! I'm a lefty myself and I'm happy to know there is a day especially for us left handers. From what I've been reading, left handers are from seven to ten percent of the world's population. What is this holiday for anyway? It is meant to promote awareness of the inconveniences facing left-handers in a predominantly right-handed world and since I'm a lefty myself I can witness to the fact that finding items that accommodate a left handed person is hard to find.
