I’ve Been Crafting something meaningful and I'm ready to share it

For years, I’ve shared seasonal wonder on this blog

—rituals, traditions, recipes, forgotten holidays, and cozy little moments that bring meaning to the calendar. But behind the scenes, something new was stirring.

I started writing books.

Not just books—seasonal companions, poetic party guides, holiday wall art, and coloring pages that echo the same shimmer I love to share here. They’ve been quietly growing like pumpkins in moonlight.

I’m proud of them. They carry my love for forgotten lore, print-only beauty, storytelling, and celebration. They’re playful and heartfelt. Some are narrated by Raven the Watchcat. Some are traceable. Some have spider secrets. I even tested the waters on creating puzzle books and found I love to create them. lol~

And yes—now they live on Amazon.

Here’s where you can explore them:

I've added an Author tab at the top of the blog for those who want easy access to my books.

"I’ll be sharing more soon—book spotlights, seasonal downloads, perhaps a few behind-the-scenes whispers. For now, thank you for being here. You’ve walked beside my journey even when you didn’t know the path had pages."

Let’s keep celebrating the Holidays, together.

Here's to coloring carefully, dreaming wildly, and following the light wherever it leads.

Pam 🖤

Talk Time Tuesday

A big sunny welcome to all my readers for another "Talk Time Tuesday" where we talk about what's to come, where we've been and what to do next. Wink~

Coffee Time ~
Oh my goodness what am I doing up at 3am in the morning. My flavor of coffee today is "Raspberry" & it is delicious! I made it very strong & I used heavy cream. I think you guys already know that I have a great love for hot drinks. Be it coffee, tea or whatever.

Today's Holiday Tab ~
I wanted to let you know of a new TAB that I added at the top of the blog. It's titled "Todays Holiday" and it will list a holiday being celebrated somewhere in the world for the day. This content will update each day from thefreedictionary.com. Always fun to learn~

Friends I have posted several new recipes to the blog this month to honor June so if you're new and love cooking then make sure you visit my recipe section. I posted a few desserts that I'm sure you would enjoy / like matcha brownies, black forest cake and I posted 12 sour cream dip recipes for all those holiday parties or summer bashes! Also this month I posted a blast from the past. Do you remember what a 4 Layer Delight is? Remember it's that cold chocolate pudding dessert that was so popular 30 years ago. Now I even talked turkey this month too. Mainly because June was National Turkey Lovers Month

Frogs ~
I have had so much fun watching my tree frogs that live in my kitchen window area. (on the outside) lol / They crawl around on my window and enjoy the water-spray when it's time for me to water my flowers that's on my window ledge. At first it was just 1. Then she found herself a boyfriend. Now she has another boyfriend. So I have 3 silver-white tree frogs that's loving my window. I've made a few videos of them and put on my youtube channel.

Never let your cat and your open laptop in a room unattended.
Grrrrrr... I was in the middle of writing an article and I was just about finished when I heard thunder so I ran outside to collect up some things I didn't want to get wet. While I was out my Winky cat decided she was going to help me write the article I guess. She must of pranced all over the laptop because I had so much stuffed typed up till it took me forever correcting all of it. When I came back in the house she had finished and was happily taking a nap on top of my laptop. Bad girl!

We say Goodbye to June and Hello to July
I'm sad that June is over. I have always loved the month of June because of the beautiful celebration of Spring reaching its end & Summer taking over. I just love that cross over period. But July will bust wide open in a few days & the July 4th celebrations will begin.

Busted Water Pipes ~
I may be sad to see June go but I'm not sad to see my water pipe problems gone. Nope, I've had to go 2 weeks with no water while my repairs were dealt with. Had to even cut the floor out to get to the break. Grrrr... I think things will be ok now though. July will be better.

What to do next ~
Don't miss it! / get ready now for it / The 1st Sunday in July is Build A Scarecrow Day so you don't have long to prepare. It's traditional for farmers to make scarecrow displays for fun but also to protect their crops from birds and animals. Well this tradition became so popular until everyone builds scarecrows on this day not just farmers. Now I know for a fact there's a lot of people who planted gardens this year so if you planted a garden too then plan a Scarecrow building party and build yourself a garden mascot. Come on everyone let's have some fun. I'm going to do it and I only have a small little patio garden. If nothing else guys, make sure you watch for all the posts on social media / your going to see some really unique and funny pictures of scarecrow displays.

Thank you friends for visiting
I'm looking forward to sharing a new month with everyone. So goodbye June and Hello July. Sending big hugs and blessings to everyone. Pam

Talk Time Tuesday is here! / June 21

A big happy Welcome to all my readers for another "Talk Time Tuesday" where we talk about what's to come, where we've been and what to do next. Wink ~

It's 4am Tuesday morning and today's flavor of coffee is coconut cream that I poured into vanilla coffee grounds. This is my 3rd cup at the moment, and I expect I will drink about 8 cups before I get all my computer work complete.

The last article I posted was about "Biscuits and Gravy". In my post I listed the types of gravy that I grew up on and told a bit of information about each one of them. Every holiday has some type of gravy on the table for sure so you will enjoy this post.

Speaking of gravy, I'm working on a short post about Chocolate Gravy. This is a dessert gravy that most people don't take the time to make anymore, and I don't know why because it's really satisfying to the belly. lol! Especially when it's poured over hot fluffy biscuits so keep an eye on that post if you're interested.

Holiday Calendar: For all you gardeners and flower people out there I posted a list of garden related holidays for all 12 Months. Remember to click the Holiday Calendar tab for any updated posts about the calendar.

Do you guys know what today is? Today is the 1st Day of Summer! I don't know how the weather has been from where your from but for me it has been hot hot hot and has felt like summer for weeks. I spend 80% of my time outdoors and I feel the heat let me tell ya!

Who was lucky enough to have a long weekend off for Father's Day? I had to work both Saturday and Sunday but I have the next 3 days off so I'll be able to catch up on my yard work which is way behind.

I went for a morning walk after it got daylight because I needed a stretch. I took some great pictures of the woods by my house too. I was mesmerized by the canopy of twisty vines above me. It was so beautiful and spooky at the same time till I think I will make a video and share my footage.

😼I can't wait to show you this video I filmed of my cat seeing a baby possum for the 1st time. I made a 60 second #shorts version for youtube that I posted but I wanted to share the full frame video with you guys too. It's not ready yet but I will be able to get it edited in a few days and I will post it then.

Here's a few upcoming holidays to celebrate. (June 21 / Smoothie Day) (June 22 / World Rainforest Day) (June 23 / National Porridge Day) (June 24 / National Take your dog to work Day) (June 25 / National Catfish Day) (June 26 / Cream Tea Day) Oh wow I think I have an article I started writing about cream tea that I forgot about. I will have to search my stuff and finish it. LOL

I hope you guys didn't miss the Black Forest Cake Recipe I posted last week. I know there are thousands of recipes for black forest cake, but they are all a bit different, so I wanted to share. I know it's hard to find time to make special cakes these days but they always turn out so beautiful.

Thanks for joining me for "Talk Time Tuesday"
It's always fun to catch up with everyone and share this fast-paced life. I want to encourage my readers to slow down enough to look at the beauty around you. Most days we are running around trying to reach deadline and destination, that we don't have time to see this beautiful world that God has given us. If you are blessed enough to have someone to share it with then here's a nudge for you to do so. Share the beauty of life and make those memories with someone you love.

😅I know life for me right now has been stressful. There're not enough hours in the day for me to get done what I need to get done and then when you don't have what you need to get the job done it becomes so frustrating. I hate that feeling of "feeling behind" you know what I mean? lol! But I always tell myself... joy always comes in the morning. I wish you all a wonderful week.
"Live everyday like a holiday." Pam

My All Time Favorite Breakfast / Tomato Gravy and homemade Biscuits

I found this picture in my picture files of my Mothers breakfast table.

This picture is from years ago. When I saw it, I became so excited that I still had a picture of my favorite breakfast that my Mother always cooked for me. "Homemade Tomato Gravy and Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits". Now she was a fantastic cook and all her meals were delicious but I had a great love for tomato gravy and her beautiful fluffy biscuits. I always liked how she turned them up side down on the plate when she flipped them out too.

Then it hit me.

This was also the last picture I ever made of a meal my Mother cooked. It was the last breakfast of my favorite meal she cooked before she died. When I found it, it made me smile and cry at the same time. My favorite breakfast cooked by my Mother. If only I could taste it again and watch her make the biscuits.

❤  I have an old video of her making tomato gravy if you would like to watch it.

I also have an old video of her making biscuits if you would like to see that.

Memories....

Talk Time Tuesday July 31

A very Welcome to all my readers for another talk time Tuesday. Do you know what I'm doing right now? I'm drinking coffee and eating a fried bologna sandwich with mustard for breakfast. Ha!

I have to tell you; I've been reading so much this morning about sandwiches... and looking at so many pictures of sandwiches until I had to fry myself one for breakfast. Tomorrow is the 1st day of August and that means it's National Sandwich Month.

So keep an eye out for some really good sandwich posts ok. I have several planned in celebration of the sandwich. The 1st post will be about the Panini sandwich. I love panini sandwiches in the winter time but I don't usually eat them in the summer. But hey August is National Panini Month too so we gotta-go-with-it right.

Last day for everyone to celebrate Christmas In July. I usually like to post a couple of things in honor of it but I just didn't find the time to do it this year. I had a few peppermint ideas I wanted to share.  I guess I will save all I have to say about Christmas for December. Smile~

August 1st is tomorrow and you know what that means for Americans. Hot Hot Hot Weather. A lot of people are going to be hitting the water to stay cool. I know swimming is a great way to beat the heat for sure. They say that August is the most popular time for people to go on vacation too. Personally I like the end of September for my vacation time.

Speaking of the heat.... I want to remind everyone about staying hydrated. Guys we must drink plenty of water when we are out in the heat. I learned the hard way last week. I worked out in the sun doing hard labor for 4 hours and I didn't drink enough water. I knew better but I kept on working. It made me very sick and it gave me the worst headache that lasted for 2 days. I will never do that again! So.... I plan on doing a couple post about prevention and treatment of dehydration. We want to live every day like a Holiday and that's hard to do when we are not at our best. Hey, August is National Water Quality Month too.

Today's the day we say goodbye to National Picnic Month. A new month starts tomorrow but that doesn't mean we have to stop enjoying picnics. Picnics are a happy event that I say needs to continue on. In August I like to stay in the shade and read a lot. On my off days you can find me underneath one of my big trees perched on a comfy picnic blanked, doing a bit of relaxed reading. Talk about happy happy happy. Which reminds me of another holiday ahead of us.

Did any of you know that August is Happiness Happens Month and August 8th is Happiness Happens Day? I don't know where I've been but somehow this observance has slipped right past me for several years now. The purpose of Happiness Happens Month is to share happiness and encourage people to talk and think about happiness. Well that sounds perfect to me! I have to get caught up on this holiday for sure. I'm working on a post that explains about the history and origin of the holiday. I'm pretty excited about sharing one that actually has some factual information to it. lol.  Over time, the background history of  many holidays are lost. So keep an eye out for it. I'm hoping to have the post ready by August 8th.

In Closing: That's it for today ya'll.  A lot is going on for August and I'm not sure how I'm going to fit it all in but it's going to be fun getting it all done.  August is a GREAT month!

Talk Time Tuesday July 24

Good Morning Everyone! Happy Talk Time Tuesday!
I've been craving coconut all week so I went to the store and picked myself up a cold coconut cream pie and would you believe.... I also found a coconut caramel creamer for my coffee. Wow! I'm enjoying the whole coconut experience as we speak. What a treat in deed! LOL

..................................................................................................................

This week
This week I've been bottle feeding a beautiful little baby calico kitten. What a precious little creature and how rewarding it's been to cuddle this sweet little baby. Another perfect creation of God for sure. Her sweet little dark eyes look right at you and her little white paws like to try and play with you. She has given me many smiling moments this week for sure.
...................................................................................................................

Hobbling About
For the last 2 weeks I've been hobbling about on my foot. I was running in the kitchen while barefooted and ran into the leg of a chair and broke my little toe. Since my foot has been swelling so much; it has not allowed my toe to heal like it should. I'm on my feet at work all day so it has been a hobbling 2 weeks. I seem to be really good at breaking my toes because I've done it quite a few time in my lifetime.

Today's Bible Verse / Ephesians 3:20-21, NKJV
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

God's power works in us by our faith, how we believe. The Bible says that if we have faith the size of a tiny mustard see, we can move mountains. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves of this scripture. "God will do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think." We just have to pull out the "faith move." lol! He is faithful to his word too.

National Lasagna Day is coming up y'all / July 29
You guys need to go do your grocery shopping today so you will be ready on July 29th to celebrate National Lasagna Day. You all know we have to cook lasagna on that day and post our lasagna pictures over the Internet. I'm working on a post in honor of Lasagna, where I will talk a bit on the facts of lasagna. My plan is to do a second post with a recipe in honor of the day too. You guys I love homemade lasagna! I just wish it didn't take so long to fix it. I'm a huge tomato sauce fan too so lasagna is perfect. Hummm my taste buds are calling! ! !
......................................................................................................................

Now let's talk about chocolate
National Milk Chocolate Day is July 27 and I found this very unusual recipe for milk chocolate and peppers. Ohhh my gosh right!! LOL!  Well when I ran across this recipe I knew I had to post it. Now I don't know if I will make this recipe myself but I sure do wish someone reading my blog would brave the challenge because I really want to hear someone describe how it tastes. Keep a look out.

Joke For Today
A Medical Lecture on Harmful Foods
'The material we put into our stomachs should have killed most of us sitting here, years ago. The following are just a few examples:
Red meat is full of steroids and dye.
Soft drinks corrode your stomach lining.
Chinese food is loaded with MSG.
High trans-fat diets can be disastrous
Germs in our drinking water.
But, there is one thing that is the most dangerous of all and most of us have, or will eat it.
Can anyone here tell me what food it is that causes the most grief and suffering for years after eating it?'
After several seconds of quiet, a 70-year-old man in the front row raised his hand, and softly said, 'Yeah, ........Wedding Cake.'

Talk Time Tuesday

Talk Time Tuesday is here! What an absolutely beautiful weekend it was in my neck-of-the-woods. And I have to say, the start of this week has been pretty awesome as well. I would like to go ahead and thank everyone who linked to my website or blog. It is greatly appreciated and your beautiful messages to me are greatly appreciated too. You really know how to make a person feel good. High 5!

Now if your reading my blog for the first time just know this. I type it like I talk. Yep! This is a hobby for me so when I write my articles don't be surprised if the grammer goes a little south! Pun intended! Go Alabama!
...........................................................................................................

I try and live my life in a positive way and I try to always keep my blog posts about positive things. We have enough heart break in life and it's high time we let that all go and live life to it's fullest no matter what is going on in our life. My Daddy told me that one time and I've never forgot it. I know it's a hard thing to do but we have to walk our days out with great faith and strength in all the thing we are facing. Being positive really does make you feel better.

Here's some Positive Synonyms for Positive  LOL!
No possibility of doubt / clear and definite / definite / conclusive / certain / categorical / unequivocal / incontrovertible / indusputable / cut / explicit / firm / decisive / real / actual
Now are those some cool words or what!!
...................................................................................................................

Well can you believe it. We are at the end of February and here are a few things we touched on throughout the month. On Groundhog Day, Mr. Groundhog started the month off by telling us we had 6 more weeks of winter weather.

For the whole month we celebrated American Heart Health Month and I posted all throughout the month some interesting heart healthy healing food articles in support of American Heart Health Month. Like Benefits of Sweet Potatoes, The Benefits of Red Wine, The Benefits of Almonds, Benefits of Folic AcidHome Remedies for Heart Attack

We talked about the name of the days of the week.  Where did these names come from? Have you ever thought about it? Well I did and I had to do some reading to find out.
  • Tuesday: Old English Tīwesdæg, meaning "Tiw's day". Tiw (Norse Týr) was a one-handed god associated with single combat and pledges in Norse mythology and also attested prominently in wider Germanic paganism. The name of the day is also related to the Latin name dies Martis, "Day of Mars".
............................................................................................................................

We have National Flowers, Birth Month Flowers (which is also referred to as Flower-of-the-month), and Birthday Flowers. As you can see this can be extremely confusing but all 3 represent something different. This article was to help you understand the difference.
....................................................................................................................

We Celebrated Valentine's Day and ate all the chocolate that we could stand. LOL. We shared chocolate recipes and all kinds of heart shaped foods too. We also took a look at several other love holidays that's celebrated in other parts of the world. And.... we even talked about Overcoming Loneliness. Not everyone has a love partner so I felt it necessary to add a couple of articles about that.

Today's Joke:
A nursery school teacher was d...
A nursery school teacher was delivering a station wagon full of kids home one day when a fire truck zoomed past. Sitting in the front seat of the fire truck was a Dalmatian dog. The children fell to discussing the dog's duties.
"They use him to keep crowds back," said one youngster.
"No," said another, "he's just for good luck."
A third child brought the argument to a close. "They use the dogs," she said firmly, "to find the fire hydrant."

Bible Verse for today:
