Don't get me wrong I could devour both of them giggle~ but it seems the New York style is heavier and I tend to like fluffy- It feels like you can eat more if it's fluffy. Hummm I don't think that's a good thing is it :(

For the life of me I couldn't find any resources to who created this holiday at all. I found plenty of blogs that write about cheesecake day but no real trail to it's origination at all. Maybe someone could tell us.

Happy Cheesecake Day ya'll- I'm on my way to the kitchen to make the easy cheaters recipe of cream cheese and lemon juice. You know the no-bake one- in a ready made graham cracker crust. What can I say-

I sure do love visiting, reading and dreaming about all the amazing food bloggers share. If my memory serves me correctly, you had a website by the same name years ago. Still do I think. I've been there often. I'm adding your blog to my blog list in the Kettledrum. I'm going to be doing a redesign in the next couple of weeks.

Can't wait to see what's in the pot for August!!!

I love every type of cheesecake, but my absolute favorite is turtle cheesecake. I was wondering if you had any good recipes for that. Thanks!!

Ohhh Andrew! I love turtle cheesecake too! Do you like the one with chocolate or without? I've ate both. I do have a really easy recipe that I love :)

CHOCOLATE TURTLE CHEESECAKE

6 tbsp. butter, melted

Combine crumbs and butter; press onto bottom and sides of 9 inch spring form pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

1 (14 oz.) bag Kraft caramels
1 c. chopped pecans,lightly toasted
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate, melted
1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
2 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia Brand Cream cheese, softened
2 eggs

In 1 1/2 quart heavy saucepan, melt caramels with milk over low heat, stirring frequently, until smooth. Pour over crust. Top with pecans. Combine cream cheese, sugar and vanilla, mixing, at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Blend in chocolate; pour over pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Loosen cake from rim of pan & let cool- then chill
