Let's take a look at June's Holiday Calendar

 Friends we made to JUNE!

I have my favorite trusty Holiday Calendar here so let's take a look at June and see what we're celebrating this month, ok. I'm sure we're going to find a few dates we want to put a check by that we want to celebrate.

๐Ÿ‘จThe 1st thing I see is Father's Day

Father's Day is celebrated in June. I know everyone will be marking their calendars ahead for that. It's showing on the calendar for JUNE 19 for 2022 / June 18 for 2023 / June 16 for 2024. Now here's what you need to remember. Father's Day is always celebrated in June but the date is always different. It's celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of June each year. National Martini Day and Juneteenth is also celebrated on June 19th.

๐Ÿ™The next major Holiday I see is Pentecost

The Christian holiday of Pentecost is celebrated on the 50th day (which is the 7th Sunday) from Easter Sunday. It commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ while they were in Jerusalem celebrating the Feast of Weeks, as described in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 2:1-31).

๐ŸงบInternational Picnic Day / June 18

This is the date to plan a picnic guys! It's traditional! This is celebrated Internationally by social clubs, organizations and families. The idea is simple. Plan a food picnic and eat outside. This observance is always celebrated on the 18th. The calendar says it's on Saturday for 2022 so that's fantastic! That weekend will be filled with picnickers in all the parks.

Not to be confused with: The Picnic Day celebrated in Australia but that's on the 1st Monday of August.

๐ŸŒžFirst Day of Summer / June 21

Summer Solstice: Wikipedia says... "The significance given to the summer solstice has varied among cultures, but most recognize the event in some way with holidays, festivals, and rituals around that time with themes of religion or fertility."

"Depending on the shift of the calendar, the summer solstice occurs sometime between June 20 and June 22 in the Northern Hemisphere and between December 20 and December 23 in the Southern Hemisphere. The same dates in the opposite hemisphere are referred to as the winter solstice."
